#jointsnotmuscles! If you are dealing with tight calves, plantarfascitis or any other lower extremity tendonitis, you need to watch this video before you start stretching (again). We can't just assume that the muscles are short; we have to see if you talocrural joint can go there first! If the joint can't get there, the muscle won't lengthen. In fact, you could be playing into the same mechanics that got you in trouble in the first place and making things worse! If you are having physical therapy for lower extremity issues and you don't recognize or remember having the Talar Swing done to you, ask your PT!
